Monika Grilka

Hello.

My name is Monika. Some friends also call me Grilka, and that's how my artistic name came to be. Everything I've ever done, I've done with full dedication and to the best of my ability. I am a perfectionist, and I cannot deliver work that I wouldn't proudly sign. I excelled in school, achieving outstanding results. In Slovakia, I studied actuarial mathematics. Besides my work and career, I managed to pass some challenging exams at foreign schools (Sydney, Oxford, London). My career progress was quite rapid – I became an assistant manager, manager, and head of the actuarial department, holding one of the four key positions in the insurance company. I have been rated as an above-average employee multiple times. I loved my work for a long time and continued to educate myself in it. It allowed me to meet amazing and very wise people who became my friends – I'm grateful to know you all. I had the opportunity to travel extensively, stay in top hotels in big cities. I love traveling. And luxury. I have high standards. In both auditing and actuarial areas, I achieved a lot, and I am thankful and proud of it.

However, after some time, this job stopped inspiring me... My mind was overloaded.

I realized what I love most – writing, traveling, good people... And I realized that I can also pursue it in a different field. A field that had been calling me for about ten years.
As a child, I loved reading books. The librarian couldn't understand how I could finish several fairy tale books from one day to the next. But I couldn't tear myself away from those thrilling stories. In recent years, the idea of writing a book haunted me. I successfully resisted it, telling myself that I'm not a writer, I have nothing to write about, and if I don't think about it, the idea will leave me. However, the idea kept resurfacing regularly. And after several years, I couldn't ignore it anymore. One morning, I woke up, opened my computer, and started writing. I couldn't stop. The story unfolded before my eyes. Sometimes, I would close them and keep writing and writing. And I was happy doing it.
Everything in this area came into my life gradually, as I needed it – I met the right people, and the path opened step by step.

I labeled my first books as spiritual fairy tales. They are intended not only for children but also for any adult. They are interwoven with inner wisdom. They will teach you how to overcome obstacles, how not to give up in your mind, how to face and handle your emotions so that they won't paralyze you on your journey, and how to achieve your goal. Life wisdom flowing from the depths of human hearts is embedded in adventurous stories.

I discovered a part of myself – a part that fulfills me greatly. I write because it brings me joy. It came to me as an inner inspiration, so I believe it has meaning. I believe that with my stories, I can uplift human hearts and bring hope to people. Just as book stories help me immerse myself in another world and fill me with energy, I hope the outcome of my work will delight you and spread that joy far and wide.

The stories I bring you are the fulfillment of a great inspiration and a desire that has been dormant in me for years. They are stories that help open your heart and encourage you to take the next important step in life.
