Zanzibar

An island in Africa, also called the Spice Island.

A very pleasant holiday, but I recommend visiting for people who are comfortable lounging in the resort and on the beach. Resorts for foreign tourists are beautifully equipped, have private beaches, several restaurants, evening programs. Simply, a person does not get bored if he is comfortable being in one place and just relaxing. If you want a big license plate, then from this point of view (my opinion) I would rather recommend other destinations.

In Zanzibar, we visited the Turtle Island (formerly Prison Island, which in the past served as a prison and also for people who were infected with yellow fever). Today, giant tortoises, which are the second largest in the world, are kept here. They can live up to 200 years and weigh up to 200 kilograms. The island is therefore visited by tourists and seeing such mega turtles really has its own charm.

Another tourist attraction is a visit to the historic city of Stone Town. I personally was not interested in this city at all. However, for lovers of the famous singer, the Freddie Mercury Museum is located here. A show must go on...

What you will definitely find in Zanzibar are beautiful beaches, lots of spices and the underwater world.

We also went snorkeling on the trip. Yes, there are definitely places in the world with more beautiful corals and underwater world, but when you are here, you should not miss snorkeling.

They offered us trips rather than private ones, e.g. only for 2 people. It worked similarly to Bali - you book a trip, you have your own guide and driver who takes care of you and either picks up just you or a couple of other people from the hotel. Only two of us went on the boat to the Turtle Island.

Shopping is also similar to Bali - if you don't want to buy, don't even look at the seller☺ Otherwise, he won't stop chasing you, especially on the beach. Which can be pretty annoying, especially when you came to relax on vacation and not buy scarves on the beach. And if you happen to buy one scarf to have peace of mind☺ and you think that they will stop offering you after that... then that's a real mistake. They sense an opportunity and start offering even more. They would also sell you sea water☺

The evenings in the resorts are made more pleasant with their performances by local Maasai. However, I emphasize that it is better for European women to avoid them ☺ Just because of cultural differences, it is better not to marry a Masai ☺ Cattle is more valuable to them than a woman...😬🙃

And what will Zanzibari accent you?:) Relax... Sometimes you hear "pole pole" - slowly, slowly... But what you will definitely hear is: "hakuna matata", which in Swahili expresses a carefree attitude to life, translates as no problem. The effort of Africans is for people to enjoy Africa. Because in Africa you have to be happy :)
